In 2007, Nathan Head appeared in the award-winning BBC daytime drama Doctors. He first appeared in the episode From Scratch, directed by Chris Jury, which aired on 15 November 2007, playing Clarky, a drug dealer involved in a storyline about a runaway struggling with self-harm. His performance led to a return later that year in Mama Sings the Blues, directed by Jerry Smith and aired on 11 March 2008, where he reprised the role in a short scene starring acclaimed singer and actress Barbara Dickson.
