The Zombie King is a Templeheart Films production in association with Burnhand Films and directed by Aidan Belizaire, completed in 2011. The film began its international rollout with distribution by Splendid Film in Germany and Denmark on April 26, 2013, followed by releases in the Netherlands (May 30, 2013), Japan via Epcot (May 31, 2013), Australia through Pinnacle (August 6, 2014), North America with Shami Media Group (July 16, 2016), and Canada via Factory Film Studio (January 2017). The film was also included in the Zombie Triple Feature DVD set, released Halloween 2014, alongside Survival of the Dead and Dance of the Dead. It later saw a North American re-release through BayView Entertainment on May 4, 2021. Starring Edward Furlong and Corey Feldman, this darkly comic horror features Nathan Head as one of the seven cursed souls at the heart of the story. While yet to receive a UK release, the film has been acquired by High Fliers Films plc under the retitled banner King of the Dead, with an Amazon UK release pending.
