Nathan Head stars as Officer Heinrich Berger in The Toymaker, the third Robert the Doll film, set in 1940s Nazi Germany. Filmed in Cardiff in Autumn 2016, it was released in the UK by 4Digital on August 21, 2017, and in North America through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment as a Walmart exclusive (Sept 5–Oct 31) under the title Robert and the Toymaker. The film charted on Tesco (#20), HMV (#3 → #6), and Morrisons (#25, later Best Sellers). Footage aired on Lisa Cannon’s Box Office on TV3e, broadcast by Virgin Media in Ireland (Sept 28), and it became available via Sky Store/Sky Cinema. International releases included Brazil (Nov 15, 2017, Frighten Entertainment) and Germany (Nov 23, 2018, DareDo). A US limited-edition box set of the first three films followed June 5, 2018. The franchise now spans five films, with Nathan’s character’s death reused in The Revenge of Robert (UK: Mar 19, 2018; Germany: Feb 22, 2019). All five films appeared on Netflix UK in April 2022, sparking renewed international interest.
