Imagine your wildest fantasies, imagine being anything you wanted to be, at any point in time, in any space, imagine your own portal to escape. But what if the most addictive virtual reality and social media space was banned, your portal to escape closed. Nathan Head played Adrian in this science-fiction feature film production from Future Artists, Dailymotion and Screen Yorkshire. Portal was split into segments and released as a six-part series on Dailymotion, making it the first original content produced for the platform. A special advance preview screening was held at Vue Piccadilly in London as part of the Raindance Film Festival on September 28th 2014, and episode one of Portal later won an Award Of Merit at the June 2015 Best Shorts Competition. Portal was re-released on YouTube in April 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdown and the entire first series can be accessed via the playlist below.
