A single mum finds a spirit board in her new apartment and unwittingly unleashes evil. Ouijageist was shot over two weeks in January 2016 in the West Midlands, with pick-up shots in August. Nathan Head plays window-cleaner Mark, attacked by a possessed hosepipe after touching the Ouija board. The film ties into the Amityville universe, featuring returning characters: Lesley Scoble as Karen Harper (Amityville Playhouse, 2015) and John R. Walker as newscaster Peter Sommers (appearing in Amityville: Evil Never Dies, Amityville Hex, Amityville Exorcist, and Amityville In The Hood). Ouijageist premiered as a rough-cut on May 7, 2018 at Derby Quad Cinema’s Paracinema Festival. The completed film released digitally in 2019 in Germany, Japan, and the UK, and later in North America on Prime Video via Wild Eye Releasing (April 13, 2020) with a physical release through Dark Star Pictures / Uncork’d Entertainment on May 5, 2020.
