An ancient god heralds its return to Earth with an epidemic of demonic possessions, prompting a priest and a scientist to lead a Vatican task force in a battle for the future of mankind. When they trace the origins of the outbreak to an ancient lake, the struggle between the forces of light and darkness begins. Exorcist Chronicles was shot on location in the East Midlands by Reality Films with Nathan Head as one of the principal cast, it was first broadcast April 8th 2013 on Time Warner Cable followed by a VOD release through Gravitas Ventures in May the same year, the film reached 50,000,000 pay-per-view impressions prior to DVD street date July 23rd 2013. On October 6th 2015 the film was re-released under the new title Vatican Chronicles for the Exorcism: Demonic Possessions boxset with One Media and on September 12th 2017 it was retitled to Possessed By Darkness for the Halloween Nightmares Vol. 1 boxset with WWMM.
